Could you briefly introduce Clinician’s Brief and Brief Media to our members?

Brief Media forged a partnership with WSAVA in 2013 to bring the practical, relevant clinical content of Clinician’s Brief to all WSAVA member organizations. It has been ranked the most essential veterinary publication in the United States for more than 12 years, and we have seen its global audience grow rapidly as well. As a company, Brief Media is focused on curating brands and products that help veterinary professionals around the world expand their skills, grow their practices and careers, and readily access the tools and solutions they need, wherever they practice.

Could you also introduce yourself and your role at Brief Media?

As CEO/Founder, I initiated the concept and then launched Clinician’s Brief in 2002 with partners John O’Brien and Toni Passaretti. Today, my role is most focused on building partnerships and expanding our product offerings for veterinary practitioners. Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs, a digital veterinary drug reference developed by Don Plumb, PharmD, is the latest brand to join the Brief Media portfolio.

Clinician’s Brief is one of our most long-standing Educational Partners. How would you summarize the relationship? Why is it important for Brief Media?

Our partnership with WSAVA is an expression of our desire to support the crucial work veterinarians do in all parts of the world. In addition, this relationship has played an important part in educating our own team about the unique challenges veterinary professionals face. Our team is passionate about increasing access to high-quality tools and solutions for veterinarians everywhere, and our relationship with WSAVA plays a valuable part in this goal.

Plumb’s has recently been updated. Could you tell us about the latest edition and how our members can access it?

Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs is now continuously updated as a digital website and native app. The latest version includes Veterinary Medication Guides, which are printable drug information sheets for pet owners, as well as a built-in conversion calculator. (There’s more coming, too.) It also includes the latest dosing information, which isn’t available in the print edition quite yet. WSAVA association members can reach out to their organization for information on our special tiered membership pricing rate.

What other advice do you have for our members to ensure that they benefit from our Educational partnership?

Tell us something about you might surprise us!

I love to explore new cities on a bicycle. In fact, I have had the good fortune of seeing many WSAVA cities for the first time by bicycle.

Is there anything else you would like to say?

What a wonderful partner WSAVA has been to Brief Media over the past few years. In particular, we celebrate the life of Dr Michael Day and his many contributions to this profession – they will live on for decades to come.
