Join the Global Veterinary Community

Thank you for your interest in joining WSAVA. Please review the information on this page to see which type of membership is right for your organization, and then contact us to start the application process. 

Who is WSAVA Membership For?

WSAVA is an association of associations. Membership is open to veterinary associations. Membership is not currently available for individuals. You can use the search bar below to check to see if your association is a current WSAVA member. 

What are the Categories of Members? 

WSAVA has three categories of memberships:

  • General Membership: General Membership is for formally established veterinary associations concerned with the medicine and surgery of companion animals. 
  • Affiliated Membership: Affiliated Membership is open to formally established specialty veterinary associations/groups, veterinary student associations and non-veterinarian team member associations.
  • Associate Membership: Associate Membership in WSAVA is available to formally established veterinary associations that can satisfy the general assembly that its financial resources and/or technical abilities to thrive as an association are limited. Associate Members are not required to pay a membership fee but must pay an initial entry fee.

What Is the Process for Joining?

New members must be approved by the WSAVA General Assembly. An application form must be submitted to the Secretariat at least 60 days prior to the next assembly meeting.
