IFT–WSAVA Scientific Day 2025: A Milestone in Continuing Education for Pet Health

WSAVA and IFT Corporation are joining forces for a one-day scientific program in Cairo on 29 November 2025, featuring expert-led sessions in neurology and cardiology to advance continuing education in companion animal care.

The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA), in collaboration with IFT Corporation, is delighted to announce the IFT–WSAVA Scientific Day 2025, a one-day continuing education event taking place on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at the Hilton Cairo Heliopolis Hotel, Egypt.

Bringing together veterinary professionals from across the region, the event will feature renowned international speakers delivering specialized sessions on cardiology and neurology — two key areas in small animal clinical practice.

The program will open with welcome addresses from:

  • Dr. Eyad Harfoush, IFT CEO
  • Dr. Richard Casey, WSAVA Executive Director (recorded message)
  • Prof. Haitham Farghaly, ESAVA Chairman

The scientific sessions will include:

  • Dr. Cristina Epifanio, Head of Neurology at Modern Veterinary Clinic, presenting “Clinical Approach to Neurological Assessment in Dogs and Cats” and “Epilepsy in Dogs: From Diagnostic Algorithms to Long-Term Management.”
  • Dr. Altin Cala, EBVS® European Specialist in Small Animal Cardiology, leading the cardiology block with “From Murmurs to Mysteries – Mastering MMVD, DCM, HCM, and RCM” and “Born with a Broken Heart – Understanding Common Congenital Heart Diseases.”

The IFT–WSAVA Scientific Day 2025 marks an important milestone in WSAVA’s ongoing commitment to advancing companion animal care through global collaboration and high-quality continuing education.

We look forward to an inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and shared commitment to improving pet health in the region.
