Meet Lolita Bizune

Meet Lolita Bizune! Lolita joined the WSAVA team in November 2025 as our new Chief Partnerships Officer. Join us in welcoming her to the team!

Could you introduce yourself and your new role to our members?

Hi everyone,

My name is Lolita Bizune, and I am the Chief Operational Officer for WSAVA.

That makes me responsible for the stewardship of the relationship we have with our trusted partners and sponsors and the contact person for anyone who is interested in supporting the WSAVA mission, committees, and projects.

Could you tell us a bit about your career before joining the WSAVA?

I arrived to WSAVA in a quite roundabout, but very fortunate way. My degree is in Asian Studies, and my carrier was built in the Congress Management. After working with WSAVA for a couple of years helping in the creation of the WSAVA Congresses I was happy to be able to join the WSAVA Secretariate and wider veterinary community in this new role.

What attracted you to this role with the WSAVA?

Without our partners, the work and projects that the WSAVA is doing to help the veterinary community and transform Animal Care globally would be impossible. Hence, knowing that I can help the cause by taking care and managing our relationship with the partners, as well as finding new fundraising sources feels very fulfilling. It is definitely something that motivates me every Monday to start the week with excitement and optimism.

What are your immediate priorities?

I believe we all can get so many benefits from improved communication. Between the WSAVA and our long-term and trusted partners, between the partners and the wider community, between the community and or Committees. There are so many projects that our partners are doing that we could advocate and promote and vice versa, so making sure that these communication channels exist and function properly is my first priority.

What do you enjoy doing outside work?

In my free time, I enjoy going for long or short hikes (both mountain trails and coastline trails) and in the quiet rainy evenings I usually crochet while listening to audiobooks.
