The Membership and Nomination Committee (MNC) works to identify the human resources needs of the association and its committees, to assist in leadership identification and succession planning, and to identify candidates for WSAVA Awards.
Objectives
Ensure the nomination process is fair and equitable.
Evaluate, together with Committee Chairs and the Executive Board, the skill sets required for positions on each WSAVA Committee.
Recommend appropriately qualified Committee Chairs to the Executive Board.
Recommend to WSAVA General Assembly suitable candidates to become WSAVA Officers.
Evaluate applications for WSAVA membership and present recommendations to the Executive Board.
Form part of the nomination and selection process for WSAVA Global Meritorious Service Award and the WSAVA Hill’s Future Leader Award.

Succession planning and leadership identification are key to the stability, vitality, diversity, and long-term success of any organization. The WSAVA’s MNC provides this important support service to the association’s Executive Board.
