Good luck with the next step in your career, Emma!
Emma is possibly the most well-known member of the WSAVA’s global veterinary community as, through her role in the Secretariat, she works with all of our Member Representatives and Committee Members on a regular basis. However, after almost four years of fantastic service to the association, she will be leaving us shortly to take up a new opportunity.

Emma first came into contact with the WSAVA while President of IVSA in 2014. Once she had completed her Bachelor degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Utrecht and undertaken a Master’s in 2017 at the University of Edinburgh, she joined the WSAVA to support CEO Arpita Bhose in ensuring that the association was run professionally and delivering on the goals set by our Executive Board.

She grew quickly within the role and, thanks to her technology skills, she has also led the WSAVA’s digital transformation over the last two years. The move towards delivering more of our services online has, of course, accelerated rapidly as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and Emma has played a key role in this, for instance in setting up our online Members’ Forums, in developing our webinar program, and in enhancing our website and social presence.
Emma is a much-loved member of the Secretariat team and we are very sad to see her go – but we are also excited to see her take this next step.

Operations Manager
I cannot begin to ribe all the incredible people I have met and amazing projects I have worked on during my time with the WSAVA community. I was able to learn, grow and even teach a little and I will be forever grateful to the WSAVA and the veterinary profession to welcoming me and making me feel at home following my graduation. I hope our paths will cross again the future!
