<>WSAVA Executive Board meets in Sri Lanka to finalize Strategic Plan
h4

From 13-17 February, the WSAVA Executive Board met in Sri Lanka with a packed agenda, including agreeing the WSAVA’s new three-year strategy and creating an action plan for the first stage of its delivery.

Following their discussions, the WSAVA leadership team met veterinarians in Sri Lanka in a program organized by new Executive Board Director and co-founder of the Society of Companion Animal Practitioners Sri Lanka, Dr Nalinika Obeyesekere.  Members of the Executive Board also hosted a CE session for them, covering important topics, such as pain management, oncology and team leadership and management in practice.

Commenting Dr Obeyeskere says: “It was a pleasure to host the WSAVA Executive Board in Sri Lanka and to discuss many important topics.  We introduced many of Sri Lanka’s young veterinary leaders to the Board, which was exciting, especially given the long period of isolation they experienced during the pandemic. They particularly enjoyed the WSAVA CE session as it was the first time since COVID that they were able to experience high-quality, in-person CE.”
