Committees

We are delighted to announce Jing Wang as the recipient of the 2025 WSAVA Teach the Teachers Scholarship, an initiative aimed at supporting veterinary professionals who are committed to advancing education in anesthesia and pain management around the world.
Working in a veterinary clinic is a deeply rewarding experience, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. The rapid pace, the emotionally charged scenarios, and the responsibility of caring for animals can result in substantial stress.
Following the publication of the WSAVA Guidelines for the Control of Reproduction in Dogs and Cats in May 2024, the authors have issued an updated erratum to address additional concerns and to ensure that the guidelines reflect inclusive, globally sensitive, and scientifically accurate perspectives.
We are seeking members to establish our Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC). The committee's purpose is to collect and analyze data to monitor and assess key trends in companion animal veterinary practice worldwide.
We are seeking members to establish our Advocacy and Communications Committee (ACC). The committee's purpose is to strengthen WSAVA's influence and impact.
We are seeking for a new Chair for our Nutrition Committee.
We are seeking for a new Chair for our Membership and Nominations Committee.
Recognizing the importance of non-clinical factors on the long-term sustainability of companion animal veterinary practices, WSAVA is now establishing a project group to map the non-clinical opportunities and threats impacting companion animal veterinary practice now and in the future.
We are seeking members to launch our Client and Veterinary Team Relations Project Group. The aim of the project group is to rebuild and strengthen trust between the pet owning population and veterinary professionals.
Are you an IVSA member passionate about veterinary medicine and global collaboration? WSAVA is seeking a motivated student to join our One Health Committee!
