From the launch of the new WSAVA Academy to the celebration of our 50th World Congress in Rio de Janeiro, the year reflected our commitment to supporting veterinary professionals wherever they practice.
Key highlights include:
- International recognition as International Association of the Year at the Association of Association Executives Success Awards.
- Expansion of the new WSAVA Academy, offering practical online education, webinars, certificates, masterclasses and practical toolkits on topics such as pain management, infectious diseases, vaccination, nutrition, animal welfare and wellbeing.
- Introduction of the Future Veterinary Association Leader Programme to strengthen leadership within Member Associations.
- Regional Member Forums held in Abu Dhabi and Rio de Janeiro, fostering collaboration and addressing regional priorities.
- Launch of the WSAVA Podcast, expanding access to expert-led educational content.
- Expanded advocacy through collaboration with WOAH, including initiatives to address antimicrobial resistance and strengthen the global One Health agenda.
- A successful 50th WSAVA World Congress in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together more than 5,200 participants from 92 countries.
