Our Animal Welfare Committee has prepared a Position Statement confirming our opposition to the physical alteration of an animal’s body for cosmetic or behavioural reasons. We urge veterinary teams to educate clients as to the harm that these procedures can cause and counsel them on improving their animals’ welfare and living conditions.
