WSAVA is entering an exciting new phase of growth, marked by the expansion of our global team. As our work continues to evolve across education, standards, research, advocacy, partnerships and global events, we are pleased to introduce four new roles that will strengthen how we support veterinary professionals and companion animals worldwide.

WSAVA is entering an exciting new phase and with it comes the growth of our global team.

As our work continues to expand across education, standards, research, advocacy, partnerships, and global events, we are delighted to announce the creation of four new roles that will strengthen how we support veterinary professionals and companion animals worldwide.

These roles reflect WSAVA’s commitment to investing in people, capability, and sustainable ways of working — ensuring we have the skills, capacity, and expertise needed to deliver our strategy and ambitions in the years ahead.

Why now?

Over recent years, WSAVA’s activities and impact have grown significantly:

  • Our education portfolio has expanded through the WSAVA Academy and global learning programmes
  • Our communications and digital presence have evolved to better serve a diverse, international community
  • Our projects and partnerships — including major global congresses — have increased in scale and complexity

To support this growth responsibly and effectively, we are strengthening our Secretariat with dedicated roles that bring focus, structure, creativity, and delivery excellence.

The roles we’re recruiting

We are now recruiting for the following full-time, remote roles, each playing a vital part in WSAVA’s global mission:

  • Administrative Assistant: Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Secretariat, Executive Board, and committees — helping ensure WSAVA’s global activities run smoothly and efficiently. Salary up to USD 22,000 DOE.
  • Digital Learning Specialist: Designing and delivering engaging digital learning resources that support veterinary professionals around the world through accessible, high-quality education. Salary up to USD 27,500 DOE.
  • Marketing & Communications Officer: Bringing WSAVA’s work to life through clear, engaging communications — growing our reach, strengthening engagement, and amplifying our impact across channels. Salary up to USD 27,500 DOE.
  • Project Manager: Leading the delivery of WSAVA’s strategic projects and large-scale initiatives, including flagship activities such as the WSAVA Annual Congress. Salary up to USD 33,000 DOE.

What these roles represent

Together, these roles:

  • Strengthen WSAVA’s operational and delivery capacity
  • Support our volunteers, members, and partners more effectively
  • Enable greater consistency, quality, and impact across our work
  • Reflect our commitment to professional, well-supported global operations

They also signal WSAVA’s continued evolution as a modern, globally connected organisation — one that values collaboration, learning, clarity, and purpose.

All roles are remote, with the opportunity for occasional global travel, and offer the chance to work within a passionate, international team united by a shared mission: advancing the health and welfare of companion animals worldwide.
