Could you introduce yourself and your new role to our members?
Hello everyone, I’m Shivangi, and I’m delighted to be joining the WSAVA team as Digital Learning Specialist. In my new role, I will be working closely with subject matter experts, veterinarians, and partners to design and develop engaging educational resources that support veterinary professionals across the world.
Could you tell us a bit about your career before joining the WSAVA?
My professional journey has largely been centered around education, content development, and digital learning. I have worked extensively with experts and organizations to translate complex scientific and technical topics into meaningful learning experiences. My work has involved creating online courses, instructional content, interactive modules, and learner-focused educational programs, with a strong emphasis on making knowledge practical, engaging, and accessible.
What attracted you to this role with the WSAVA?
What attracted me most was the opportunity to combine my passion for education with a field that has such a meaningful impact on both animal and human well-being. The chance to work with a global network of veterinary experts and contribute to learning that supports veterinarians around the world is incredibly exciting.
What are your immediate priorities?
My immediate priority is to understand the needs of our members and work collaboratively with the WSAVA community to strengthen and expand our educational offerings. I am looking forward to supporting the development of new Academy programs focused on dentistry and One Health.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside work, I enjoy swimming, travelling, playing guitar, and going for a run.
