Purina Institute Renews its Partnership with WSAVA for Three More Years

WSAVA is pleased to announce the renewal of its Diamond Partnership with the Purina Institute, extending a long-standing collaboration dedicated to advancing veterinary education and companion animal health worldwide.

WSAVA is delighted to announce that the Purina Institute has renewed its partnership with our association for an additional three years, strengthening a long-standing collaboration focused on advancing global companion animal health and veterinary education. The renewed agreement will run from 1 January 2026 to 1 January 2029, during which the Purina Institute will continue as a Diamond Partner.

Building on our shared commitment to supporting the global veterinary community, the Purina Institute will contribute to the work of several WSAVA Committees, including the Nutrition Committee, Education Committee, Animal Welfare and Wellness Committee, One Health Committee and the Therapeutics Committee (newly added in this partnership period). Their engagement will play a key role in enabling these groups to advance evidence-based resources, develop educational tools, and support veterinarians worldwide.

As part of this renewed collaboration, the Purina Institute will also support several strategic WSAVA initiatives:

  • Sole Sponsorship of the first WSAVA Global State of Companion Animal Veterinary Practice Report 2026
  • Support for the WSAVA Education Committee’s in-person regional Continuing Education events, helping expand access to high-quality veterinary learning around the world
  • The third edition of the annual webinar series
  • Sole Sponsorship of the WSAVA Nutrition Guidelines Course

Through these initiatives, the Purina Institute continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting science-based nutrition, supporting veterinary professionals, and improving the well-being of companion animals globally.

Richard Casey, WSAVA Executive Director, commented: “We are delighted to continue our collaboration with the Purina Institute. Their sustained commitment enables WSAVA to expand access to high-quality education, strengthen the work of our committees, and support essential resources for veterinary team members worldwide. Together, we look forward to advancing companion animal care and bringing meaningful impact to our global community.”

Jason W. Gagné, Director of External Relations at the Purina Institute, highlighted: “Purina Institute is proud to continue our partnership with the World Small Animal Veterinary Association as a Diamond Sponsor. This collaboration reinforces our dedication to advancing veterinary nutrition and enhancing pet health on a global scale. Together, we will continue to support research, education, and the dissemination of best practices in veterinary nutrition, ensuring that veterinary professionals have accessible and actionable resources to provide optimal care for pets.”

WSAVA warmly welcomes this renewed partnership and looks forward to working closely with the Purina Institute over the coming years to advance our shared mission of supporting veterinarians and improving companion animal health worldwide.
