WSAVA is looking for motivated a IVSA member to join our One Health Committee. Veterinary students are an integral part of the future of the profession and this program helps build a stronger relationship with our future leaders. The Ambassador will have the opportunity to work with the committee, network with the international veterinary profession as well as learn about a veterinary topic. This is a great opportunity both for the IVSA and WSAVA.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Attend a 1-hour online meeting every 4-6 weeks.
- To actively contribute to and promote the work and mission of the committee
- Assist the Chair with administrative duties (e.g. arranging online meetings and taking notes)
- Support and advise the committee on how to engage members and students with digital communication and social media
- To respond in a timely manner to email/electronic communication.
- Any additional requests set by the committee.
Terms & Conditions
- Term: Appointment for two (2) years term.
- Term duration must be consistent with the potential candidate’s remaining school year. To be eligible for this position, the potential candidate must have at least 2 remaining school years in which the candidate will be a full student.
- Time commitment: Generally 2-3 hours/week
- Each applicant may apply to just one committee. No Multiple committee selection will be possible.

*All nominees for membership of any WSAVA committee/group are required to provide an IVSA Membership Declaration Form to prove they are a member of an IVSA Member Organization (MO). This form is provided by your Membership Organisation. The nominees should be complied with all explicit obligations of the MO and should not be subject to any form of sanction, suspension, or disciplinary censure. This declaration is not a recommendation from the MO that the nominee is the best person for the position. The Committee Chair ultimately decides on the best candidate for the position and the choice is ratified by the Leadership and Nominations Committee and the Executive Board. This declaration indicates only that the nominee is a member of IVSA MO.
