He says: “Since I joined the veterinary world, I have been constantly inspired by the energy, passion and sense of purpose ingrained in members of this unique community.
“The WSAVA is doing fantastic work in a fast-changing, volatile and increasingly anxious world. While COVID-19 has made things worse, the opportunities, challenges and uncertainties facing those working in the veterinary sector globally have been developing for some time.
“The WSAVA’s global community is its strength and we can achieve much more for our profession and our patients by working together. I will be working with the Executive Board and leadership team as we explore how we can most effectively combine our passion with purpose to ensure that we achieve our strategic goals more quickly.
“I’m looking forward to meeting many of our volunteers, Partners and members personally in the months ahead. If anyone would like to get in touch to arrange a meeting – or just say hello – I am contactable at Richard.casey@wsava.org.”
