Embedding the future leaders of the veterinary profession in our work today

We are excited to announce that the WSAVA and the International Veterinary Students Association (IVSA) have come together to launch a Student Ambassador Program, which we believe will offer huge benefits to members of both associations.

Several WSAVA Committees are looking for motivated veterinary students to join them in order to ensure that their work also reflects the needs of future members of the veterinary profession. The selected Student Ambassadors will participate in their Committee’s work, network with members of the profession globally, as well as enhancing their veterinary knowledge. They will also be responsible for highlighting their Committee’s work and resources to IVSA members.

WSAVA President Dr Siraya Chunekamrai says: “Veterinary students represent the future of the profession and this program will help us build a stronger relationship with the next generation of veterinary leaders. It is an exciting opportunity both for the IVSA and the WSAVA.”

The Student Ambassador Program is an amazing learning experience for IVSA members. We are grateful to see that the voice of future veterinarians is so important for WSAVA and to be given the opportunity to actively contribute to improving the standards of veterinary care and education worldwide.
