e-GNEO is an important congress for Spanish-speaking veterinary professionals which took place for the first time in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In view of its success, the second –GNEO took place from July 28-30 2021. To ensure our members could benefit from the learning on offer, the WSAVA ran a competition offering 50 free places – all of which were quickly snapped up!
GNC Co-chair Dr Cecilia Villaverde was one of the key speakers and gave a presentation on the importance of a nutritional assessment for every patient and how the GNC’s Global Nutrition Toolkit could be used in practice.
Dr Villaverde’s lecture was moderated by WSAVA Executive Board member Dr Ellen van Nierop. She says:
It was great to see Dr Villaverde’s session so well attended with a lively Q&A following her talk. In the end, we had to stop to make way for the next speaker! It is clear that nutrition is a major topic of interest to veterinarians in Latin America.
