WSAVA Committee drives global understanding of One Health

The WSAVA One Health Committee (OHC) is excited to report that more than 300 veterinary and human medical professionals have embarked on its online Certificate course, with 69 individuals having been awarded the Certificate so far!

The One Health Certificate is the first to focus specifically on the role of companion animals in this area. While the general concept of One Health is well understood in relation to the interactions between production animals, wildlife, the environment and human health, the OHC believes that the growing significance of the human-companion animal bond is not yet fully appreciated. It created its Certificate program to help bridge this knowledge gap.

The OHC congratulates all those who have completed the Certificate program during 2021 and looks forward to many more completing the course next year. It is currently hosted here.

By the end of January 2020, the course will be available on WSAVA Academy, which also hosts many other useful courses. All participants will be alerted by email once the migration is completed.
